Description

The BLUeye Prestained Protein Ladder is a three-color protein standard with 12 pre-stained proteins covering a wide range molecular weights from 11 to 245 kDa.
The 12 recombinant proteins are covalently coupled with a blue chromophore except for two reference bands (one green and one red band at 25 kDa and 75 kDa respectively) when separated on SDS-PAGE (Tris-glycine buffer).
The BLUeye Prestained Protein Ladder is designed for monitoring protein separation during SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, verification of Western transfer efficiency on membranes (PVDF, nylon, or nitrocellulose) and for approximating the size of proteins. The ladder is supplied in gel loading buffer and is ready to use.

Special Features:

  • Wide range: 11 to 245 kDa
  • Reference Bands: one Green at 25 kDa, one Red at 75 kDa
  • Ready to Use: supplied in loading buffer for direct loading on gels
  • Clear Bands: 12 sharp bands in three color protein standard for easy visualization
  • Quality control: tested on lot-to-lot basis to ensure consistent product quality

In Lane 3: BLUeye prestained protein ladder (PM007-R500)

NuPAGE Bis-Tris 4-12% was used to run SDS-PAGE in MOPS and MES buffer. 5µl of protein ladder samples were loaded into each lane.

Migration patterns of BLUelf Prestained Protein Ladder in various electrophoresis conditions

• 3 μl or 5 μl per loading for clear visualization during electrophoresis on 15-well or 10-well mini-gel, respectively.
• 1.5~2.5 μl per well for general Western transferring.

Under suggested conditions, BLUeye Prestained Protein Ladder resolves 12 bands in 4-15% SDS-PAGE (Trisglycine buffer) and after Western blotting to a nitrocellulose membrane.Apply more for thicker (> 1.5 mm) or larger gel.

Note: The molecular weight of each protein (kDa) was measured against an unstained protein ladder in every electrophoresis condition. Additional data should be considered for a more accurate adjustment.
